As dawn starts to break, you hear echoes of bugles on a distant slope. Your guide slowly cups his hands around his mouth, his breath freezing as he exhales. He takes in the next breath of mountain air and gently lets out a soft cow call. Immediately a bull elk erupts into a thunderous bugle from a nearby stand of trees. Your heart leaps into your throat and the hair stands up on the back of your neck as the massive bull appears on the edge of the meadow. It’s time.

This Early-September Archery Elk hunt is popular among hunters that want to get away from it all…and have the chance to hang their tag on a monster Canadian Rocky Mountain Bull Elk. This hunt is a backpack only hunt that takes place in the extreme Western part of our hunting area along the Banff National Park boundary. It is a trophy only zone so all bulls must have at least 6 points on one side, making for some incredible encounters with monster bulls!
